デンマークに憧れた14歳が、大人になって何度か現地へ訪れた。遠回りしながら自分の「好き」を追いかけてデンマークに暮らしてみることができたものの、たどり着いたのはスウェーデン。今までも、これからも、マイペースながら少しずつ、北欧をはじめとする心動かされたシーンを、絵と言葉にして表現しつづける人。その表現が皆さんの心も動かせますように。
At 14, I fell in love with Denmark. Years later, I returned again and again, eventually getting the chance to live there twice. It took me a while to get there — and somehow, that journey led me to Sweden. Still, my fascination with Scandinavia continues. At my own pace, I keep following what I love, turning the scenes that move me — from Scandinavia and beyond — into paintings and words. I hope my art work can touch your heart, too.

Ryoko

小学生の頃から海外に憧れ、中学生の時に、デンマークに恋に落ちた。それ以来、デンマークをはじめとする北欧の世界観を求め続け、気がついたらアラフォー。20代後半と30代後半にデンマーク暮らしに挑戦し、ちょっとだけ現地で住民になってみたものの縁があったのはスウェーデンだった。2024年8月からスウェーデンに移り、パートナーとふたり暮らし。
北欧で見る何気ない日常のシーンや風景に今でも心動かされる。じっくり考えて動くタイプとして、同じように自分のペースで夢を追いかける人を応援したい、そして自分の絵を北欧に癒しを求める人たちに届けたいという思いで、ブログを書いたり絵を描いたりして活動している。

I have dreamed of going abroad since I was a child, and I fell in love with Denmark when I was a teenager. Since then, I have kept looking for the Nordic way of life and its atmosphere, and now I had reached my forties.
I tried living in Denmark in my late twenties and again in my late thirties, getting to experience what it was like to become a resident there, even if only for a short time. But somehow, it was Sweden that became my next home. Since August 2024, I have been living in Sweden with my partner.
Even now, the simple everyday scenes and landscapes I see in Denmark and Sweden often move me. As a person who tends to take time to think things through before taking action, I want to encourage people who, like me, are following their dreams at their own pace. I also hope that my drawings can make people who love Nordic culture and scenery smile and feel a little happier.
With these thoughts in mind, I write about my life and experiences and create paintings inspired by the places and moments that move me.
